The "Spirit of the Mayan" was created as the Magical opening production number for The 2003 WeHo Awards held in the heart of L.A.'s historic theater district. The WeHo Awards honors outstanding individuals with in Los Angeles. This year, actor/comedian Margaret Cho was presented with a with special Entertainer of the Year Award. A bevy of Hollywood's elite attended this year's gala event. Vargus along with several other entertainment professionals helped raise thousands of dollars which benefited the Tijuana AIDS Fund.
